FACTORY LETTER.Cal. 38 S&W. S# 113554. Bbl. 3 1/4". Round blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Matching numbers on frame, bbl. latch & cyl. 5-shot cyl. has factory rework star & grip frame has factory "R-N" renickel marking. Second Model 38 Safety Hammerless revolver. Nickel finish. Checkered black grips with S&W monograms. UNATTACHED ACCESORIES: factory letter that states this gun was shipped to M.W. Robinson of NYC in 1884. Also included are a replacement S&W Bangor Punta box & a 1976 dated factory receipt for the renickel finish & replacement grips. CONDITION: inside of right grip panel shows a long crack running through screw hole, grips otherwise show some staining & handling marks. Metal retains 95% factory renickel with some blued over pitting, light flaking, oxidation & staining. Action functions properly when hand cycled.
